Piston - Not the Steam Box

Steam CEO, Gabe Newell spoke to the Verge, to clarify that Xi3 "Piston" was not the Steam Box, Steam is still working on their own console.

However, the device Xi3 revealed yesterday remains the most interesting gaming platform  reveal so far at CES.

While the manufacturer remained discreet about the device's specs, we know thanks to Polygon that Piston will offer up to 1 TB of internal storage and modular component updates, including the option to upgrade the PC's CPU and RAM.

This is exciting news indeed, even if you are playing on a gaming console, the revival of PC gaming is undeniable, in large part thanks to Steam, which currently offers some of the best games currently on the market.

A dedicated gaming system running Steam would be great, particularly for those wishing to play recent games but unwilling to have to deal with windows.
